This is a musically clear winner, a record you can love from start to end, and
the melodies hits you straight in the heart.

This is an impressive piece of work. The production and the lyrics are great,
and the stories have a realness and a warm feeling that is rare, no matter
genre.
5 out 6 points - Arild Rønes, Rockmag
-
The tightest sound so far. It's crazy, but delicious. Everybody that loves dusty
american countryrock should use their hard earned money on this.

This product is a testimony of a band who loves their music, and has a deep
respect for the recordbuyers and their own fans. They have created a beautiful
musical package filled with soul, that can be played in the car, in the kitchen,
in the livingroom, in restrooms and at work.
Frank Skoveng, Groove.no
- Countryrock, Spagetti Western Soundtrack,
bluegrass. With the cowboy boots and hats supporting the music, it sounds so
american that even the yankee accent is not surprising to the listener. With The
Armadillo Song this impressive body of work is completed.

"It's Just Restlessness" contains sweating, swinging and stomping music, right
from the gut. A prestigious project packaged in a box with a beautifully
illustrated book.

Reviews for "Stories from Cactus Motel":
RadioIndy
is pleased to present The Men They Couldn't Shave
with a GrIndie Award for their CD "Stories from Cactus Motel"
"Stories from Cactus
Motel" by the humorously named The Men They Couldn't Shave is a pleasant collection of well-crafted acoustic/country tunes. Majestic
acoustic guitars serve as this CD's strongest captivator and draw listeners in with a tight
grasp. "Up North" stands out for just this reason; its graceful acoustic intro quickly becomes etched
into one's memory. Moreover, the vocals on this album are refreshingly unique,
adequately raw, and compellingly emotional. Lyrically, The Men They Couldn't
Shave brings a nice mix to the table – a little bit of wit, a lot of relevance, and a nice dose of introspection. Other
standout tracks include "The Ballad of Old Henri P.," "Ghost
Dance Shirt," and the hilarious "A Tough Man Left Town."
All in all, "Stories from Cactus Motel" is fun, highly relatable, and
musically outstanding.

- Norways most funny, honest
and coolest country-gang.
They sound pro and tight, without a single bad song on the whole record.

- The production is delicious
and this almost smells like a soundtrack,
as if Tarantino is lurking in the shadows. If it were up to us,
Stories from Cactus Motel ought to be in every household.

- If you are going to buy only
one country album this year,
this is an album you really should consider....
4 out 6 points- Kjell R. Hermansen, Glåmdalen
- It's easy to assosiate this
with Gram Parsons and the legendary "Sweethearts of the rodeo". The creativity is big, and there's fine arrangements and a wonderful
mystic and deserted mood that makes this album a very good one to listen to.

- The band delivers many cool guitar licks,
and the resembelance to the Long Ryders is present on the record....
